Appearance, performance, strength,
comfort and durability.
The appearance of fabrics and fitness for purpose are
always put under the closest scrutiny to ensure that the right
choice is made everytime. |

New legislations and industry standards
have been introduced to establish specific protection requirements
that need to be met in the design, manufacture and provision
of protective clothing. From primary protection and safety of
the wearer in industrial environments; to the protection of the product
through good garment design to minimise cross infection in the
critical hygiene sector.
However these technical considerations do not remove any of
the requirements for wearer comfort, garment appearance and
durability, which remain vitally important factors. |

It is a well proven fact that a fabrics
comfort factor can have a positive influence on the all round
working efficiency of the wearer.
COTTON BLEND FABRICS
The future of workwear fabrics is cotton blends, they provide
the following benefits:
- Resistance to degradation therefore preserving hygiene, performance
and comfort.
- Smarter long term appearance - these fabrics can withstand
repeated hot industrial washing whilst keeping their appearance
and colour.
- Protection and safety - better tear resistance providing greater
wearer safety.
- Longer life - acid or alkaline spillages causes cotton to
disintergrate causing holing. Polyester content gives fabric stability. |

| |
POLYESTER/ COTTON (65%
POLYESTER FIBRES, 35% NATURAL COTTON)
Available in a range of weights and colours with optional
antistatic finish. |
 |
COTTON RICH (60% NATURAL
COTTON, 40% POLYESTER FIBRES)
Alternative to 100% cotton. Available in a range of weights
and colours with optional flame retardant finish.
|
WHY?
- The comfort of cotton
- Robustness of polyester
- Outstanding wearer protection qualities.
- Excellent tear and abrasion retention
- Less shrinkage and better colour retention
- Retains its smart appearance for longer
- Offers versatility of being suited for high temperature laundering.
|
WHY?
- The absorbency of cotton
- The extra durability and performance qualities of polyester.
- Excellent tear and abrasion retention compared to 100%
cotton.
- Less shrinkage and better colour retention compared
to 100% cotton.

WHICH INDUSTRIES?
Light industrial, automotive, business, transport,
critical hygiene, hotel and catering. |
WHICH INDUSTRIES?
Oily environments - automotive, industrial, industries
requiring absorption - hospitality and catering
Industries requiring flame retardancy - heavy/ light industrial. |

SPECIALIST FINISHES
Hazardous work environments call for special fabrics and finishes.
PPE - personal protective equipment regulations are in force
and it is the employers legal duty to provide PPE where identified
as necessary. When conducting a basic risk assessment we will
support and assist in terms of offering a range of PPE garments.
We will clearly explain what we can provide, how we will maintain
the PPE garments, and what is expected of you the employer.
However PPE garments should always be regarded as secondary
protection.
FLAME RETARDANT
- cotton rich fabric with a flame retardant finish.
Conforming to EN470 part 1 British standard for protective clothing
for use in welding and allied processes.
Conforming to EN531 for industrial workers exposed to heat (excluding
fire fighters). Meeting requirements for limited flame spread,
convection heat, and radiant heat.
Comfort, natural breathability, absorption are not effected
by the FR finishing.
Which industries? - Industrial and
automotive welding, industrial - metal fabrications and foundries,
oil and gas, chemical processing, power, telecommunications,
transportation.
ANTISTATIC
Tech-stat is a 245gram polycotton with 1%stainless steel
woven, giving permanent antistatic protection by conduction.
The stainless steel is comprised of very fine conductive fibres
that ensure when the garment is earthed it will meet the high
degree of static protection required by BSEN 1149
Which industries? - Industrial -
computers, electronics, laboratories, pharmaceuticals, critical
hygiene -hospitals.
CHEMICAL SPLASH
- 100% polyester fabric with scotch guard liquid repellent finish
Conforming to EN13034 -designed for limited chemical splash
Which industries? - industrial -
mechanical engineering, industrial processing and manufacturing,
chemical processing, service and maintenance, waste treatment
and disposal, transport. |

COLOURS
Colour consistency and retention are
important factors in fabrics.
Royal, blade, navy blue, maroon, red, black, bottle, spruce,
kelly green and many more colours are available.
For garments - using contrast collars, cuffs, stripes and pockets
you can build up your own corporate identity image.
The image to the right demonstrates a small sample of the colour
range available.
