SALES AND SERVICE CYCLE

SALES EVALUATION
The evaluation of our customers needs can usually
be best satisfied by engaging in an open discussion, understanding
all aspects of your business that may be sensitive to the services
we can offer. We will identify your specific needs through a
detailed analysis of your working environment and processes
backed up by our indepth market knowledge of upto date personal
protective clothing.
PROPOSAL
The agreed options will be presented to you in a proposal document
for your consideration. Every effort will be made to offer flexible
sound alternatives, which will fit your business requirements.
This stage plays a particularly important role in the overall
successful implementation of a workwear solution.
IMPLEMENTATION
Once the proposal is agreed, our service team will arrange a
mutually convenient time to come and meet your companies personnel.
Our service representatives will detail your wearer information,
to take into consideration specific cost centre you wish to
account for. If appropriate we will at this stage take measurements
of all your staff. We offer a 24
hours 7 days a week measuring service to cater for shift
patterns and making sure there is minimal disruption to your
worktime. We would at this time wish
to carry out a full site survey of your dust mat, roller towel
and hand drying services locations. An onsite service plan for
all services will be drawn up and form part of the agreement.
ELECTRONIC ORDERING
A detailed order will be produced for your acceptance. The
next step will be to e-mail our suppliers. Companies we are
in partnership will acknowledge our order with anticipated delivery
dates. This information is forwarded to you in a detailed schedule
so to allow you to plan ahead for successful workwear installation.
PRE-INSPECTION ON NEW PRODUCTS INTO THE FACTORY
Once the workwear is received from the manufacturers the
order is quality
inspected closely to ascertain that all products meet agreed
specification. All products involved in our processes
are checked against key specification
criteria. For example, workwear would include colour,
fabric blend, weight and quality of garment makeup. Any nonconforming
items will be notified and returned to the manufacturers with a
nonconformance feed back form.
IN HOUSE BARCODE LABELLING APPLICATION Labelling each
garment with a unique Giltbrook barcode offers complete traceability
as well readable information such as company, department, wearer
name, and date of supply. Our standard labels measuring
80mm x 40mm, are all produced and applied in house so we can
offer you a degree of flexibility in the detail and layout you
wish to have on the barcode.
GARMENT DECORATION
Garment decoration will be introduced at this stage this
may be in the form of logo and name in either embroidery or
badging form. Badges are applied by heat sealing using a heat seal
machine, controlling the dwell time and pressure. Embroided
badges can be sewn on directly to the garment. We will pay a great
amount of attention to ensuring the positioning on the garment
is accurate. Templates are set up for each garment so offering
consistency of badge positioning not only on original issue,
but also on garments introduced at a later date.
INSTALLATION
As the installation date nears our service staff will
be in contact to make arrangements for a convenient date for
installation.
When the appointment delivery day arrives we expect the introduction
of new workwear to be problem free. All major fitting
amendments will have been carried out, but there may be small
changes that are necessary after a number of washes once the
garment has relaxed.
The service representative will be able to run through all aspects
of the new service. We will be able to supply wearer information,
the service site plan and locker key documentation.
We are conscious that to run a successful workwear scheme on
a day-to-day basis this is dependent on good working relationships.
We advocate at the early stage that our key contacts within
your organisation are fully briefed and any questions
are answered. Typical questions will be for example, explanation
on how to action new wearers garments, how to remove workwear
once employees have left, and how to relabel workwear over to a new
employee. Garment Services
ONGOING CUSTOMER SERVICE
Our customer service team is only a phone call away and
help is always on hand from a single point of contact.
The service team will visit you on site at a prearranged time,
appointments are always made prior to a visit to avoid any inconvenience
to your staff. Sales staff will respond quickly to any
new requests and will aim to find the right solution for you.
MANAGEMENT CONTROL INFORMATION
We will supply you regular periodic reports to assist you
in managing the service. This will come in the form of wearer
information, invoicing details by product. Particularly valuable
is the information on the last wash history on garments and
identifying workwear under presented. This information can be
e-mailed direct to the desktop or placed in the post, we will
discuss with you the preferred distribution method.
PRODUCTION CYCLE
COLLECTION & DELIVERY
Our route representative will collect soiled items for cleaning
and deliver clean items on a regular, agreed schedule. We provide
a fully managed locker service collecting soiled garments from
the soiled collector and delivering clean direct into the individual
wearer locker compartments. The wearer will be issued with an
individual key to access their locker. Key personnel will hold
master keys for entry into all compartments.
RECEPTION OF SOILED ITEMS AT GILTBROOK FACTORY
Each item is recorded into the premises by scanning the
unique barcode. Our inspection process is thorough and may at
this stage involve tagging of garments for repairs, withdrawals
or badging requests. The information that creates the flagging
within our system, originates from details pre-entered on
to the data base following for example a service visit, customer
e-mail or fax request.
EFFECTIVE CLEANING PROCESS
Our highly trained wash technicians will ensure that the highest
possible standards of sterilisation and cleanliness
are achieved by selecting the most appropriate cleaning process
through assessing the soiling, fabric blends and construction
of each item cleaned.
We offer a dedicated highcare service
for hygiene customers in industries such as food preparation,
food manufacturing, and food packaging. Our dedicated highcare
line will separate items through the process from the sorting,
washing, drying and packing stages. All critical control
points are continually monitored to ensure HACCP standards
are maintained at all time. We are able to offer full traceability
on all loads supplying information to your desktop via e-mail
on:
- Workflow date/time at receipt, wash, finish and despatch.
- Load doseage details
- Machine wash temperature calibration
- In / out water ph levels
We believe that in areas of services where "due diligence"
is
a pre-requisite we can offer the customer the technical
information backup in a reactive manner which is required for
this demanding sector. You can be confident in the knowledge
that the hygiene standards are never compromised.
FINISHING
Polycotton garments are dried and finished by passing them
through a heated tunnel finisher. All wrinkles and
creases are removed to present a quality finished garment.
GARMENT AUDIT AND QUALITY APPRAISAL
Garments will now be inspected not only for cleanliness
and finish, but also for wear and tear. Repairs will be carried
out and recorded which renders valuable information when considering
replacing garments. No garments will be replaced without
your prior consent.
PACKAGING AND DISPATCH
Garments are returned folded or hung on hangars depending
on your requirements. We supply a single sealed premier service
for workwear in the food and allied industry using blue tinted
polythene to maintain the sterile integrity of the garment. Detailed
despatch documentation will accompany the garments being returned
to your site. This guarantees all items are returned at the correct
time and in the correct presentation format. |
